Extreme Colca - Trekking to Bomboya Mountain 5500 masl

Day 01: Arequipa - Cruz del Condor - San Juan de Chuccho - Coshnirwa
At 03:00
am you will be picked up from the hotel to start the tour in a shared tourist
mobility. At 06:15 am we will arrive at Chivay where the ticket will be paid.
At 06:30 am we will have breakfast in the village of Chivay and then depart for
Cruz del Cóndor (3700 masl), arriving at approximately 08:30 am. In the place
you will appreciate the depth of the canyon and the famous flight of the
Condor. At 09:30 am we will arrive at the Pampa San Miguel to start the
Trekking. At 12:30 pm we will arrive at the suspension bridge of San de
Chuccho. At 1:30 pm we can have lunch in the village of San de Chuccho, then we
will have 30 minutes to rest and be able to appreciate the landscape. At 04:30
pm we will arrive at Coshnirwa where we will have dinner and sleep.
Day 02: Coshnirwa - Queñuales Forest of Sallani - Bomboya
At 06:00
am we will have breakfast, then we will take a one-hour walk to the town of
Tapay, arriving at approximately 07:30 am, where we will begin the ascent to
the Bomboya mountain on mules. At 11:30 we will arrive at the Queñuales Forest
of Sallani, where we will set up the camp. We will have lunch at 12:30 p.m.,
then at 01:30 p.m. We will start the mule trip to the summit of Bomboya
Mountain, arriving at 03:00 p.m. At 03:30 pm return to the camp in the
Queñuales Forest of Sallani. At 05:30 pm we will arrive at the camp. Dinner and
Overnight.
Day 03: Coshnirwa - Sangalle
At 06:00 am breakfast at the camp
and then start the descent to the town of Coshnirwa on foot arriving at 11:00
am. At 01:00 pm we will have lunch and at 02:00 pm the Coshnirwa - Sangalle
route will begin. Arriving at 04:00 pm you will have the afternoon free to rest
and enjoy the scenery and the pool. Dinner and overnight
Day 04: Sangalle - Cabanaconde - Hot Springs - Arequipa
At 05:00 am we will
begin the ascent to the town of Cabanaconde, arriving at 08:00 am. In the place
we can have breakfast. At 09:30 am we will board the tourist transport to the
town of Chivay and on the way we will stop at various viewpoints. At 12:30 pm
we will visit the thermal baths for no more than 45 minutes. At 01:30 pm we
will have a buffet lunch in Chivay. Then we will start the return to the city
of Arequipa. On the way back if the weather permits, we will stop in Patapampa
(4600 masl) also called the Mirador de los Volcanes, from where you have a spectacular view of the volcanic mountain range of the
South, Colca and Chila. In the bofedales of Tocjra (4400 msnm), which is house
birds like flamingos and camelids domesticated as llamas and alpacas and
finally in the National Reserve of Salinas and Aguada Blanca (4200 masl), which
is a natural habitat of vicuñas . Arrival to the city of Arequipa at
approximately 06:00 pm. End of our services.
